Meet Your Clinician. Understand Your Care.
Your mental health is connected to everything else in your body and your life. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with doctoral-level training, my goal is to help you find the tools that help bring balance to all parts of your well-being.
I work with adults facing a wide range of mental health conditions, with a focus on ADHD, chronic illness, dual diagnosis, depression, and anxiety. Many of my patients are also living with cancer, chronic pain, or serious illness. Depending on your diagnosis, I use a variety of therapeutic tools to meet your needs, but at the core, those tools are rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and solution-finding.
The right tools differ for everyone: sleep and movement, careful medication choices, therapy strategies that change how you navigate the world, and, when those aren't enough, TMS therapy, Spravato, or IV ketamine to exercise parts of the brain that need strengthening and quiet the parts that are too loud. Other specific therapeutic modalities may include solution or trauma-focused care, integrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). At all times, my care philosophy centers on compassion, recognizing that people do the best they can with the tools they have, and sometimes need new ones to move forward.
Reaching out can be hard, especially if past attempts haven't gone the way you hoped. You won't need to convince me that you've been trying. We'll start from where you are and work toward where you want to be. If this sounds like an approach that works for you and you’re seeing a partner to help you find a better path forward, then I welcome hearing from you.
The Experience Behind Your Care
I bring more than 14 years of experience to your care, including two graduate degrees from Michigan State University and a PhD from Marquette University. Prior to joining Advanced Psychiatry, I worked across oncology, primary care, palliative care, and pain management settings throughout the Midwest. These experiences deepened my understanding of how mental health intersects with all areas of care, fueling my passion for team-based, interdisciplinary therapy personalized to each patient’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences.
