Our Team
Dr. Schmale is a University of Michigan trained psychiatrist who has focused his career on neuromodulation and treatment-resistant conditions. He is one of the few Deep TMS, Spravato (intranasal ketamine), and IV Ketamine providers in the area. Dr. Schmale has over 20 academic publications and major speaking engagements and has been honored with two teaching awards by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. Dr. Schmale’s goal is to continue bringing advanced treatments to the community, helping those in need, and working in collaboration with colleagues.
Dr. LeBlanc is an ABPN board-certified psychiatrist who completed residency training at the University of Michigan. He served as outpatient chief resident and was awarded the “Resident Achievement Award” by the University of Michigan Psychiatry Department during his final year of training. In addition to medication management, he has expertise in neuromodulation techniques including Deep TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), Spravato (intranasal ketamine) and intravenous ketamine. He is excited to use these advanced techniques to treat those in Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities.
Samantha is an NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant, who works alongside Dr. Schmale. She graduated in 2018 with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University. She is a certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS and has clinical interest in neuromodulation techniques. She is a native of southeastern michigan and is an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers.
Sara is a recent Michigan State University graduate (Go Green!) with a degree in Neuroscience and plans to attend medical school in the future. She is a medical assistant and certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS, and looks forward to supporting you in your journey. Outside of work, she loves trying new places to eat.
Lexi is a medical assistant and certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS. She will be graduating from the University of Michigan in December 2021 with a major in psychology. She plans to attend medical school after graduation. Lexi is from Tampa Bay and has learned to love Tom Brady for more than his Michigan connection.
Dane is a graduate of the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and received a master’s degree in accounting from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He leads the business management and operations of the practice. Dane’s goal is to help the medical staff continue to bring advanced and effective mental health treatments to the community.
