Dr. Schmale is a University of Michigan trained and ABPN Board-Certified Psychiatrist, and Medical Director at Michigan Advanced Psychiatry. He has focused his career on neuromodulation and treatment-resistant conditions, using Deep TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), Spravato (intranasal ketamine) and intravenous ketamine. Dr. Schmale has over 20 academic publications and major speaking engagements, and has been honored with two teaching awards by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. Dr. Schmale’s goal is to bring advanced treatments to the community, helping those in need and continuing to work in collaboration with colleagues.
Dr. Tseggay completed her psychiatry residency training at University of Michigan and is an ABPN board-certified psychiatrist. She is committed to a holistic approach in patient care, utilizing a variety of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic methods. Her practice is characterized by a collaborative, patient-centric approach, aimed at not only treating immediate symptoms but also empowering patients with deeper comprehension of their conditions. Dr. Tseggay's expertise and empathetic manner make her a trusted ally in guiding patients through their mental health journey.
Dr. LeBlanc is an ABPN Board-Certified Psychiatrist who completed residency training at the University of Michigan. He served as Outpatient Chief Resident and was awarded the “Resident Achievement Award” by the University of Michigan Psychiatry Department during his final year of training. In addition to medication management, he has expertise in neuromodulation techniques including Deep TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), Spravato (intranasal ketamine) and intravenous ketamine. He is excited to use these advanced techniques to help you and those in the surrounding communities.
Samantha is a NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant and the Neuromodulation Program Director, who works alongside Dr. Schmale and Dr. LeBlanc. She graduated in 2018 with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University. Samantha is a certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS. She is a native of southeastern Michigan and is an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers.
Christina is an NCCPA Board-Certified Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and graduated in 2022 with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Prior to joining the Michigan Advanced Psychiatry team, she worked in hospital medicine. Christina has an interest in utilizing both ketamine and TMS to treat individuals with treatment resistant conditions. She is passionate about providing whole person care through promoting mental, physical and spiritual health.
Luke is a NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Concordia University, Ann Arbor with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Throughout his education, he has developed a passion for destigmatizing mental health concerns and is looking forward to providing equal access to mental health care in the community. Outside of work, he enjoys running, exploring national parks, and spending time with family.
Alexis is an NCCPA Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) at Michigan AdvancedPsychiatry. She received dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Michigan State University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University. Alexis practiced for seven years in pediatric emergency medicine and behavioral health before finding her true calling in mental health. In addition to medication management, she has an interest in using neuromodulation techniques for treatment-resistant conditions. She is dedicated to developing a safe and collaborative relationship with her patients and providing the support they need to improve their mental wellness. Alexis primarily sees patients out of our Troy location.
Pavithra received her degree from Western Michigan University in Physician Assistant Studies in 2022. In addition to Physician Assistant studies, She received her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy in 2005, and a Master of science with emphasis in Cardiac rehab in 2007. Her overall clinical experience has given her an important insight and the ingrained belief that active listening, education, self-empowerment, and collaboration are essential to positive patient care. She believes through education and pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods, each patient can be empowered to be their best self. Pavithra enjoys her time with family and spending time in nature, camping.
Logan is a certified physician assistant who graduated from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2020. He majored in Human Biology at Michigan State University for his undergraduate studies. Before PA school he worked with traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. After graduating PA school, he worked in urgent care and since has worked in mental health. He has many interests within psychiatry including, but not limited to bipolar disorder and depression. He thrives in a collaborative environment and prides himself in providing high-quality of care while upholding an empathetic and

Charlene Staff is a Certified Physician Assistant with over 10 years of experience in behavioral health specializing in Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Domestic Violence, Stress, ADHD, and SUD. She has serviced both private practice and community mental health settings. She focuses on educating and treating patients to improve their quality of life. Her own self-care involves traveling, cooking, and exercise.
Saul is a medical assistant and certified operator of Brainsway deep TMS. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and plans to attend graduate school in the future. When Saul is not at work, he enjoys going on walks with his dog or learning a new song on the guitar.
Jack is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, receiving a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, & Neuroscience. He also has interests and a Dual Minor in Business Administration & Asian Studies. He is a medical assistant, certified Brainsway Deep TMS operator, and research assistant studying deficiencies in the cholinergic system. He is interested in the intersection of physical and mental health, and plans to continue his education in the subject area through medical school. Beyond healthcare, Jack likes to maintain an active lifestyle and explore different cuisines.
Dane is a graduate of the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and received a master’s degree in accounting from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He leads the business management and operations at Michigan Advanced Psychiatry. Dane’s goal is to help the medical staff continue to bring advanced and effective mental health treatments to the community.
Sierra is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with a degree in Neuroscience and plans to attend graduate school in the future. She is a medical assistant at MAP, a certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS, and a research assistant at U of M. When Sierra is not at work, she likes to spend her time out with friends exploring Ann Arbor.
Allie is the Clinical Coordinator for Michigan Advanced Psychiatry. She received her Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine and her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University. She is a certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS. Allie is dedicated to helping patients achieve their treatment goals and coordinate their care at our facilities.
Peter is a 2023 graduate from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Computer Science. He is a medical assistant at MAP, certified Brainsway Deep TMS operator, and licensed EMT, and he hopes to attend medical school in the future. Outside of work, Peter enjoys traveling and staying active, and likes to follow European football.
Hannah is a medical assistant and a certified operator of Brainsway Deep TMS. She is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan (go blue!) with a degree in Biopsychology. She plans to attend PA school in the future. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys running with her dog and buying new plants.
Ellie is a medical assistant and a recent University of Michigan graduate with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Social Class and Inequality Studies. She plans to attend medical school in the future to continue learning about the brain and mental health care. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and being on the water (especially Lake Michigan!)

Brittany is the manager of the Billing and Collections team. She has over 10 years of management experience, and helps with any questions or concerns patients may have with billing, statements, or time of service payments. Outside of working, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends.
Queeny is the supervisor of the Collections Department. She investigates claims to make sure they are paid accordingly and resolves any denials. Queeny has over 8 years experience handling claims and loves what she does. She is also a Registered Nurse. In her spare time she enjoys watching documentaries.
Rebecca is the Director of Operations for the Call Center, Billing, and Collections Department. She has worked in the medical and mental health field for over 35 years. Her favorite job is Grammie to her 7 grandchildren. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, serving at her church, reading, and being a beach-bum and watching sunsets.
Riza is the supervisor of the Billing Department. She makes sure that all of the billing is sent out timely and accurately. She has over 4 years of experience in insurance billing. Riza is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources Management. She enjoys watching comedy shows, and thriller and action movies.
Charles is the go-to guy for patient statements. He primarily handles statement inquiries regarding patients' balances. Charles loves Star Wars and anything about the NBA. In his free time, he loves to play basketball with his friends.

She received her bachelor's degree in travel-tourism and hospitality management; but fell in love with the medical administrative operations field. Leigh has been in the industry for over 5 years. In her free time she loves to go to the beach and take in the natural beauty of sunsets.
