IV Ketamine & Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
What Is IV Ketamine Therapy? Find Out How You Can Benefit from This Cutting-Edge Depression Treatment.
If medication, TMS, or esketamine therapy hasn’t offered relief, IV ketamine therapy may be the treatment you’ve been looking for to transform your quality of life. Ketamine infusion therapy is ideal for those struggling with Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD), as well as anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), PTSD, OCD, and more.
At Advanced Psychiatry, IV ketamine is administered intravenously as an infusion and can show symptom relief as soon as the first treatment. We generally recommend an initial course of 3 to 6 infusions, with the possibility of additional treatments, depending on your response.

An Alternative, Off-Label Option for Depression
IV Ketamine Therapy is an off-label treatment that has shown remarkable promise in helping people with depression, especially those who haven’t found relief with traditional medications.
This therapy is administered as a controlled infusion under medical supervision, helping to restore balance in key brain pathways involved in mood and emotional regulation.
For patients who don’t qualify for SPRAVATO® insurance coverage or need treatment more urgently, IV Ketamine offers a effective alternative.

TREATMENT OVERVIEW
A Treatment Specialized for You

01
Arrival
When you arrive for your IV ketamine session, you’ll be welcomed by our team and escorted to a private treatment room. Our friendly staff will guide you to a comfortable reclining chair where you can relax. We’ll review your treatment plan, answer any questions, and ensure you feel at ease before beginning your infusion.

03
Treatment
During treatment, a carefully measured dose of ketamine is administered through the IV over 40 to 60 minutes. You may experience mild sensations such as lightheadedness or feeling detached, which are normal and temporary. Throughout the session, our medical team will monitor you closely to ensure your comfort and safety.

02
Preparation
Before starting your infusion, your provider will take time to review your health status and make sure you are fully comfortable. An IV line will be gently placed in your arm, and you’ll be given a cozy, calm environment with optional comforts such as blankets or music to help you relax during your session.

04
After Treatment
Once your infusion is complete, you’ll spend a short time in recovery while our staff ensures you’re feeling steady. Most patients leave the same day with a friend or family member to drive them home. Many notice mood improvements within hours to days. Your provider will check in regularly to track your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
